Testing

For students applying in fall 2026, entering fall 2027

Tufts is test-optional: you choose whether to send SAT or ACT scores, and Tufts will not assume your scores are low if you do not. Tufts encourages sending an SAT of 1300 or higher or an ACT of 28 or higher. Your choice is fixed once you submit. Tufts superscores both tests and lets you enter your own scores on the application.

The Common Data Set also marks the SAT or ACT as not required for fall 2027 applicants, but considered if submitted, with scores due by February 1.
