Programs with extra requirements

For students applying in fall 2026, entering fall 2027

You apply to UW, not to a college. Admission rests on your high school GPA and the High School Success Curriculum (4 years each of English, math and science, 3 of social science and 4 of additional coursework):

  • Assured admission. A cumulative, unweighted high school GPA of 3.00 to 4.00 assures admission.
  • Admission with support. A GPA of 2.50 to 2.99, or 2.25 to 2.49 after a holistic review that may ask for an essay, with no more than two curriculum deficiencies (not both in one category). Students admitted this way must register for the Bridge Program by July 15 before fall classes begin.
