Testing

For students applying in fall 2026, entering fall 2027

RIT is test-optional for all undergraduate programs: you choose whether to send SAT or ACT scores, and you can report your scores yourself on the application. If you leave them off, RIT does not see them. RIT superscores the SAT and ACT, and recommends the optional ACT science section for STEM applicants who send the ACT.

The Common Data Set also marks the SAT or ACT as considered if submitted, not required, for fall 2027 applicants, with scores due by February 1.
